The Announcement element of the wedding ceremony is given at the end of the ceremony when the newly wedded couple is introduced to the guests, by the Officiant, using their new married name.
The Minister may turn to the guests and present the couple, saying; “It is with great honor I present to you Mr. And Mrs._________”. At this point the guests stand and applaud, as the couple then lead the recessional out.
Below are some examples of the Announcement Element of the Wedding Ceremony:
Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my honor to present to you for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. John Smith.
